THSA Gold Card

TSHA Gold Card- Telehandler operations

Every second Thursday 7am - 3pm.

​

The TSHA (Telescopic Handlers Association Australia) Gold Card training program is designed for people needing to develop the skills and knowledge required to operate telehandlers with different attachment combinations such as Forks (F) and Crane Jib (J) commonly used in the Construction Industry.

Nationally Recognised Training

All nationally recognised training - when a learner is deemed competent at the completion of their training - will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in the Unit of Competency in which they have enrolled. RTO 45587 TCLM Pty Ltd.

Course Location

Campbelltown yard – 11 Watsford Rd NSW 2560 (5min walk from the station)

Bring your PPE – Hard hat, high vis vest/ workwear and safety boots.
We have lunchroom facilities – microwave, fridge etc. There are cafés and restaurants nearby if you want to purchase lunch.
We provide tea, coffee, and water (bring your own water bottle).

We offer ongoing support to all of our students and are available to answer questions and provide guidance during your course and after. We don’t know all the answers but we know lots of people who do!

Course Duration

A one day course with the TSHA assessment before completion.

Course Delivery

Face to Face in our Campbelltown yard with our telehandler. 
All your training materials are provided.

Course Cost

Price is $450 per person when paying cash or EFT. 
Credit card facility is provided by STRIPE and includes a 1.75 % fee. 
Discounts apply to multiple bookings. Gold Card and Hoist booked together is $1300

Course Pre-requisites

Student must be 18 years + at time of training.

Student must have sufficient English language to understand and participate in training. The Telehandler operator must be able to read and understand technical information for controls, grade lifting limitations, variable rated capacity load charts as well as logbook checklists.

  • Health and fitness to perform duties safely - bending, kneeling, lifting, standing.

  • Provide photo ID.

  • PPE – hard hat, steel capped boots, high vis shirt or vest.

Course Topics  
  • Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply in NSW                  

  • Tower Crane characteristics, technical capabilities, and limitations 

  • Operational maintenance and basic diagnostic Procedure

  • Techniques related to essential tasks, plan job, transfer the load.

  • Site isolation and traffic control responsibilities and authorities

  • Identification of communication strategies and systems - hand signals, whistles

  • Safe operating techniques

  • Conduct routine checks

  • Shut down and secure the crane

Course Outcome 

Upon successful completion of the course your Accredited Trainer will submit training records to the TSHA who will approve your training and provide you with a TSH Trained Operator Gold Card with the proof of training and your photograph on the card.

You will be able to apply to the TSHA for a Statement of Attainment for RIIHAN309F - Conduct telescopic materials handler operations. Please advise your Accredited Trainer if you require this as there is additional paperwork to be completed.

An interim record of training from the TSHA will be emailed to you upon approval of your licence by the TSHA and this can be used when operating machinery until you receive the Gold card. The TSHA Gold Card will be processed and posted to your supplied address. Please let the TSHA know if you have not received your card within 60 days of training as after 60 days, $30 is payable for the card to be reissued.
