Course Information
Course Timings
Usually scheduled every 6 to 8 weeks Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm.
Training is from Monday to Thursday and the SafeWork Assessment is held on the Friday.

Course Topics include but not limited to;
technical capabilities and limitations, calculating safe working loads, operational maintenance, licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification in NSW.
All nationally recognised training - when a learner is deemed competent at the completion of their training - will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in the Unit of Competency in which they have enrolled.
Pre-requisites
None.
A Dogging (DG) licence is not currently required to enrol. We do strongly recommend holding or obtaining a DG licence, as a CS licence does not permit any dogging or rigging work. As a CS licence holder, you are authorised to operate the crane only. You must not sling, direct, or attach loads to the crane hook unless you also hold the appropriate Dogging or Rigging licence.
Training and Assessment requirements
Students must be 18 years + at time of training.
Students must have sufficient English language skills to understand and participate in training and assessment. All students are required to complete a language and literacy (LLN) test prior to enrolment. If you have any concerns about your language or literacy level, please contact us to discuss available options.
Health and fitness to perform duties safely - bending, kneeling, lifting, standing.
PPE required – Safety boots, hard hat, hi-vis shirt or vest.
Home study and revision is required to pass the course. Students are required to pass the pre-assessment test with the trainer prior to their SafeWork Assessment.
Provide photo ID to the Assessor on Assessment Day.

Please note that out of state applicants no longer require an exemption from SafeWork NSW but will need to create a Service NSW account to enrol in the online Assessment portal.
Venue
Campbelltown yard – 11 Watsford Rd NSW 2560 (5 min walk from the station) for first two days.
Nearby Cafe's and fast -food outlets (5 min drive)
Lunchroom facilities provided on site- fridge, microwave, tea, coffee and water. Food truck visits daily.
Venue for practical training: Braemar (near Mittagong).
Times to be confirmed with trainer.
Public transport
5 min walk from Campbelltown Station and on street parking.
Course Duration
A five day course with the SafeWork NSW assessment on the 5th day.
Class size
Typically, around 6 participants to ensure personalised training and support.
Course Delivery
In person training at our Campbelltown and Braemar yards with our Potain HD16 Self-erecting tower Crane.
Training and Assessment can be conducted on site at your premises if training and assessment requirements are met.
All your training materials are provided.
Course outcome
As with all high-risk work licences, this is not an attendance-based course. Successful completion requires closed book testing of theory knowledge and a practical skills component with a SafeWork Assessor.
A participant deemed competent at the completion of the SafeWork Assessment will receive an NSA (Notice of Satisfactory Assessment) which is a temporary licence and valid for 60 days only.
The NSA must be submitted to SafeWork NSW with an application fee of approx. $90 to receive the licence class (CS) from SafeWork NSW. The plastic wallet card will be posted to your address.

Once you successfully apply and receive your SafeWork NSW HRWL (CS) it is valid in every state and must be renewed every 5 years.
Your Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued by TCT (TCLM Pty Ltd Trading as Tower Crane Training), a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45587) for fulfilling the requirements of CPCCLTC4002 Licence to operate a self-erecting tower crane will be emailed to you within 30 days of successful assessment.
A participant deemed not yet competent at the completion of the SafeWork Assessment will need additional revision time prior to re-assessment. There is a re-assessment fee of $250 per person payable to Tower Crane Training.
Course Cost
Price is $2100 per person for individual students.
We can also provide a $1950 corporate rate for established clients.
Combo course booking discount- CT/CS and DG is $3400.
Payment
Private students: A deposit at time of booking and the remaining fee on the first day of the course.
Corporate bookings: Full fee due on the first day of the course (unless payment terms agreed with the issuance of a Purchase Order no.) A deposit may be required.
The course price includes training, assessment and course materials. A re-assessment fee of $250 may apply if a student is deemed not yet competent.
Payment can be made via credit card (1.75 % surcharge) or direct bank transfer (EFT). Cash payment can be made in person at the admin office.
Payment plans- a student can make regular payments against an invoice for a future course booking.
No GST is applied to HRW Licencing courses.
Cancellations and or date change and refunds
A booking may be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of three business (3) days' notice prior to the course start date. Enrolments may also be transferred to another student if needed (except for Incolink vouchers) Please note that failure to attend a course without prior communication will be considered a forfeiture of the enrolment and no refunds or course deferrals will be offered by TCT.
